Academy of Dance
Answers to some frequently asked questions:
We offer classes for students as young as 2.5. Class levels are based on age, ability and the dancer's maturity. All class levels are at the teacher's discretion.
What class should my child be in? What ages to you teach?
What performing opportunities do you offer?
We have an annual recital in June which all of our students are invited to be in. Each November the American Pacific Ballet Company puts on a production of the Nutcracker. Auditions for this are in June and rehearsals start in August. Students ages 4 and up are encouraged to take part in this winter tradition. Our students often have other opportunities to perform throughout the year.
When is the best time to enroll?
Academy of Dance bases its schedule and tuition on the traditional school year, September through June. September- December is the ideal time to register as costume orders for the June recital are due in December. Students registering after Dec may not be able to participate in our June recital.
What is your tuition? Can I make up missed classes?
Tuition is based on how many hours per week your student is dancing. Please call to ask about our family rates and mulit-class packages.
Missed classed may be made up in another class of a suitable level. We encourage our students to make up classes as quickly as possible. Missed classes may not used as credit towards future classes.
