Boróka Nagy is an award-winning choreographer, dancer, and multimedia artist. After cultivating her art in NYC, she moved to Southern California to earn her M.F.A. in Dance from the University of California, Irvine, in 2015. Her dance training includes prestigious institutions such as Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School and the Alvin Ailey School’s B.F.A. Program in NYC. Nagy has performed at landmark theaters such as the 92nd Street Y and New York City Center, and she continues to perform internationally in both site-specific and concert stage settings.

As a choreographer, Nagy is interested in exploring the relationship between emotions, memory, and the world around us. Her choreography has been presented worldwide, and she continues to explore the human experience through movement, interactive performance, and collaborative art with her dance company, Re:borN Dance Interactive.

As a teacher, Nagy emphasizes risk-taking and believes in using a strong technical foundation to push personal limits, with a focus on individual strength and personalized progress within her student body. Her classes promote dance as a form of genuine expression, emotional release, and a conduit for building community. In 2014, she completed her certification in the Lester Horton pedagogy under the direction of master teacher Ana Marie Forsythe. Additionally, she is a certified Pilates instructor and uses her extensive somatic knowledge to teach sound anatomical structure in and out of dance. For the past decade, Nagy has taught master classes and workshops internationally in Horton technique, modern dance, choreography, improvisation, and Pilates.

In 2021, Nagy became the director of The Academy of Dance in Orange County, which ignited her sense of urgency in using dance education to shape the future of the next generation. In 2022, she founded Reborn Arts, a non-profit organization whose mission is to use catharsis to bring breath and ownership back to our often passive and overly structured lives. Nagy is also the owner of Pilates on Main, an intimate Pilates studio in El Segundo and Santa Ana, CA.
