
Kelly McGill
Instructor: Modern
Kelly McGill is a professional dancer, instructor, and choreographer born and raised in Upstate New York. Kelly holds a MFA in Dance from the Claire Trevor School of the Arts at the University of California, Irvine and a BFA in Dance from Shenandoah Conservatory in Winchester, Virginia. As an instructor, Kelly specializes in ballet, pointe, yoga, modern, and contemporary dance forms. Kelly has performed professionally with multiple contemporary dance companies including Motion X Dance of Washington, DC and Emergent Dance 2nd Company. Kelly has produced her own choreography on both the East and West Coast and presented dance for film internationally. Currently, Kelly is teaching ballet and modern dance throughout Southern California and is a new company member with Backhausdance, appearing both as a performing company member and education partner with the company's Dance for Kindness project. Through Dance for Kindness, Backhausdance brings dance education t o students in public schools throughout Orange County with a focus on kindness, empathy, and anti-bullying.
